Dora is a proud Texas transplant originally from Washington State she moved here when she was a teen and Loves everything Texas except those hot triple digit days. Dora has been in healthcare for 24 years, with 12 years of experience in dentistry. She is bilingual (Spanish) and her favorite part of the job is creating systems that lead to predictable and efficient patient outcomes. Dora’s goal is to make sure our patients feel comfortable, cared for and receive the best customer service. When not working, Dora’s favorite pass time includes exploring the Hill country, spending time with family, playing guitar and singing with her kids Alexis, Alex and Allen.
Karen is a native Texan, originally from South Texas, she moved to San Antonio 5 years ago and now resides in New Braunfels. With over a decade of cross-trained experience in the dental field since 2013, she has honed her skills and passion for helping others. She loves to make sure her patients feel comfortable and understand the process of their treatment and receiving the best customer service. Outside of work, Karen enjoys spending time crafting with her bestie, embarking on road trips, photography, going to concerts/ music festivals and cherishing moments with family and friends and her dog Sophie. These interests keep her balanced and inspired, both personally and professionally.
Meet Ashley, our enthusiastic Registered Dental Assistant! After graduating from Kaplan College in 2012, Ashley earned her certification and is licensed to take x-rays. She’s currently expanding her expertise by studying for Dental Hygiene. Ashley works closely with Dr. Kimmel on all-on-4/full mouth rehab implants and loves witnessing the joy on patients’ faces as they leave with their new smiles. Originally from Midland, Texas, she enjoys water sports and beach days with her two kids, Colsyn and Paxsyn. Fun fact: Ashley was named “Most Fun Dental Assistant” at the 2019 Smiles at Sea dental education cruise among over 600 attendees!
Meet Jena, a dedicated dental professional with a passion for patient care and clinical excellence. Born and raised in Canyon Lake, she brings small-town warmth and strong values into every patient interaction.
With experience in advanced implant dentistry and full mouth rehabilitation, Jena plays an integral role in helping patients restore confidence and function through same-day full mouth dental implant procedures. She understands these treatments are life-changing and is committed to ensuring every patient feels comfortable, informed, and supported throughout their smile transformation.
Outside the office, Jena is a proud mom to Baylee (7) and Hayden (12) and loves spending time with her family and her French bulldogs. She’s grateful to call Canyon Lake home and carries that close-knit Texas spirit with her wherever she works.
Ernesto grew up in Cuba. In 2006, he completed his studies as a Dental Prosthetic Technician in Guatemala, where he worked for eight years. Ernesto met his wife in Guatemala, and his son was born soon after. In 2015, he moved to the USA, allowing him to continue growing in the dental field, particularly with implanted dentures. Ernesto loves to continue his education by attending dental laboratory seminars and conferences. When not at work, Ernesto likes to spend time with his family and dog (Dogui). He also enjoys watching sports, especially baseball.
Meet Omar, originally from Panama. In the 90’s, he moved to Guadalajara, Mexico where he completed his University studies as a Technician in Dental Prosthesis at the Autonomous University of Guadalajara. He then moved to the United States in the early 2000’s where he furthered his studies and obtained his Bachelors in Science degree in Dental Technology from Dartmouth University. Omar’s passion are in the dental field where he has achieved high levels of recognitions in the manufacturing of implanted dentures, with more than 3,000 AO4 dentures manufactured in the past 17 years. When not at work, Omar enjoys spending time with his son, being a new grandpa and spending time with his grandson, dancing, singing, and is a fanatic of the Panama soccer team who he follows faithfully.
